03/27/18 I worked more on the music composing and I think I have the bass part down. As for the piece I wrote last time, I don't think I am going to keep it and start with a better melody as the previous one. 03/29/18 Today, I worked on homework from another class and also worked on a scholarship for TCU. I also watched YouTube videos that better explained how rhythm and melody work together and how different chords create tension.
03/21/18 I continued to work on the melody for the classical piece I am composing. So far, I have written about twelve seconds of music. 03/23/18 .We went to an assembly
03/06/18 I have been keeping in contact with the person from tumblr and asked her another question: why do therapist assign the music they do? I also experimented with Chrome Music Maker, so that maybe I could produce a product/song for my thesis, but it didn't work because it made the notes play separately, instead of having them play for one whole measure. I also researched about stress and the internal responses of the body, once it has been reduced. 03/19/18 I started to plan for the outline of my final paper and I also began to play around with another website that could help me make music, so I could have a final product. Once I was done playing with it a bit, I began to think of melody I could use for the song.
02/28/18 I received an email back from someone I had previously contacted and had asked a question to. They gave me good information regarding music therapy and what type of music is appropriate when treating patients. What she told me is that helped me narrow down even more what kind of music I will be focusing on: classical, new age, and jazz, without lyrics to help the patient with relaxation. 03/02/18 Today, I asked someone else I found that could help me from the social media platform tumblr, how they approached helping a depressed person. I also began to research on new age and jazz music. Since syncopation is a characteristic of jazz music, I researched about how it works and how it affects the rhythm in your brain.
